At Peter’s Pit Stop, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to discover their purpose, develop meaningful skills, and make a difference in their community.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission is to provide purpose, productivity, and skills for adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities. Through our community coffee service, we’re building connections and laying the groundwork for something even bigger: a mobile coffee van that will create meaningful employment opportunities for 6–9 individuals while serving more people throughout our community.

Peter's Pit Stop desires to help individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities realize their purpose and provide skills and training to help them live productive lives. It is our goal to provide 6 to 9 individuals employment in a mobile coffee van, and serve the community.
Meet Peter!
A hardworking young man with a heart for serving others, Peter found joy in preparing and serving coffee to his neighbors after losing his job at Bitty & Beau’s Coffee during COVID. He eagerly took on every part of the job, from opening to closing, and beams with happiness as he serves his community. When he’s not working, Peter enjoys bike riding, country music, games, and fun activities. Now living in Maryland, Peter is working toward opening a new location while exploring the possibility of bringing Peter’s Pit Stop back to South Carolina!
